Firefighters battled three new fires overnight that forced the evacuation of sevenhomes on the mid-north coast of New South Wales.
The outbreaks are the latest in the 20-day bushfire crisis that has engulfed the state,razing 150 homes and blackening more than 650,000 hectares of land.
Rural Fire Service spokesman JOHN WINTER says the three new fires broke out yesterdayafternoon at Lowanna, near Coffs Harbour.
