NSW: Man staggers to hotel lobby after being shot in his room

Police say a man blasted in the chest in a Sydney hotel room this morning probably knew the
man who shot him.

The 42-year-old staggered from his bedroom to the lobby of the Bondi Beachside Inn after
the shooting at 12.45 am.

Alarmed guests at the Roscoe Street hotel alerted emergency personnel after hearing a
gunshot.

Waverley police say it appears the victim knew the identity of the shooter.

A spokesman says the hotel room wasn't forced, and no weapon has been found.

The man has been taken to St Vincents Hospital, where he's in a serious but stable
condition.
